Politics Was Lethal in 1902

Samuel Braunhart, my great great great Uncle, who held several elected political posts between 1880 and his death in 1906 in San Francisco, was a feisty and outspoken sort, who often got into spats with his colleagues.

Politics in America today has nothing compared to a hundred or so years ago.  But to have a pistol drawn on you?  Wow!
