To the best of my knowledge - of all my ancestors - Ida Mae Williams Fageol - my Great Aunt Ida - lived the longest. She passed in 1992, just a few days after her 108th birthday. This article, published in 1989 in the Kent, Ohio newspaper celebrates her 105th birthday. By reading the article you can see all of the changes in the world that happened during her life. I can't imagine another 100 years in human history that had as many changes as Ida experienced. And the article passes over a lot of the technological innovations that have occurred during that time frame.
My mother always got a birthday card from her Aunt Ida - every year - even after Ida passed the century mark.
